非谓语动词

在too…to这个结构当中，假如句子的主语与后面的不定式构成的是动宾关系，同时这个动词不定式又是不及物动词，那样此时就要在这个不及物动词的后面加上适合的介词，比如 the light is too weak to read by，那样这里我不知道的是to read和 the light构成的是一个动宾关系, 难道是to read the light？加上一个介词 to read by the light构成动宾关系?

The light is too weak to read by. = The light is too weak to read books by.

应该如此描述：to read by 为“反射不定式”，其逻辑宾语为句子的主语。by 与 the light 是“介宾关系”，不叫“动宾关系”。read 可与物，可以不及物，read 的宾语是读物，不是 the light。
