where 跟 from/to 连用与否，结果是大不相同的。
Where is the money? 钱在什么地方？（问钱放在哪儿了。）
Where is the money from? 钱从哪儿来的？（问钱的来历。）
She asked me where I was off. 她问我离开了什么地方？或：她问我在哪儿下的车？
She asked me where I was off to. 她问我离开某地去了哪儿？
大家把 where 换成一个具体地址，有无to ，意思正好相反，对比一下：
I was off the station. 离开车站。
I was off to the station. 去了车站。
off 是离开某地，to 是去某地。所以，问题句的意思应该非常了解了。这个 to 是需要的，不可省略！
